HELP THE PEOPLE OF NEPAL
By now, most of us are aware of the recent devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook and destroyed many of the small towns and villages of Nepal. Most of us-- myself included-- are not in a position that we can leave family and employment to help with medical treatment, transporting supplies and building shelters for the survivors of this terrible disaster. There are, however, several agencies that are activated and in the process of providing the much needed help to the people of Nepal, India and other surrounding areas. We can be apart of these massive humanitarian efforts by donating a few dollars. Skip a few of the niceties that we routinely enjoy and donate the proceeds to those that are struggling to survive.
Here is a list of several places accepting donations:
The Nepal Red Cross Society is the center of the relief efforts. The organization is providing first aid, search and rescue, blood to medical facilities and support to first responders.
