Flourishing with Healthy Relationships
From the cradle to the grave, relationships play a vital role in development. Starting with caregivers, particularly the mother, and moving to the significant others that decorate our adult lives. Significant development of self is facilitated by healthy and supportive relationships.
An English Poet Famously wrote, "No man is an island." John Donne captures the significance of human relations in this beautifully written poem. We need each other and contribute to each other's wellness. In this beautiful cycle of giving and taking, we flourish or flounder.
Flourishing can't be accomplished alone in our houses or in our hearts. Flourishing occurs within the realm of others.
