We need a sense of security to thrive. If we are continually frightened, we will pull into ourselves and limit opportunity.
Life is not a pretty little bundle of joys. We have pleasures and sorrows.

We improve the circumstances of our lives, moving from wilting to flourishing, with small manageable steps.

Taking advantage of the fleeting moments of motivation to implement long-term change.
We need to attend to the balances in our lives. Impulses, demand and others interfere and knock us out of balance.
Shortcuts to happiness may escape pain; but the temporary relief often has a high cost of  long-term trouble.

The Power of Consciousness can evaluate futures and make adaptations, changing impulsive directions.
We condemn our worth through faulty comparisons with others.
Change requires more than insightful glimpses at ourselves. We need to force new action and form habits.
When life overwhelms and our efforts fall flat, we sometimes learn to not fight, and quietly suffer.

Mindful examination of the two internal guidance systems behind our action can refine errant predictions and misguided reactions.
There is a small slice of time between emotion and reaction. We need to utilize this space, shove in a wedge, widen the gap, and act with greater wisdom.
Our environment is instrumental to our mental health. When work or home constantly ignites stress, our systems bog down, and well-being suffers.

The universe is immense and knowledge abound. We can never understand everything. Our perspective limits our views. We must open to the knowledge of others to escape our subjective prisons.
Our biology and experiences form who we are, setting us on a path. Sometimes, however, we determine to be more. We achieve greater than the individual parts dictate.

With grit, we can work ourselves through some problems, other problems persist, and others we need to abandon, close a door and wait for new opportunities to arrive.
Judgements are penicious things. They self-perpetuate proving themselves by biasing our views.
Futures depend on action following thought. We must do more than dream to build better lives.
We can see the world a little clearer by stepping beyond the confines of our own ego.
